I have mentioned it in an earlier blog, your mind is your most powerful tool and that is true. There is something great about the mind, because it does not differentiate between reality or imagination, good or bad, true or false, nervousness/anxiety or excitement. So you can lie to your mind and it will believe you. Doing that might seem strange at first, but the more you do it, the better you will feel about it. Let’s use an example, fear of flying. Before stepping into a plane you can tell yourself how horrible you feel, that planes drop out of the sky like it is nothing, that they are flying coffins etc. That will for sure get you in a state of anxiety. But what if you excite your mind? What if you tell it that going on that plane is a walk in the park, or your favorite rollercoaster, or maybe a great adventure? Put those thought on repeat and you will see that this fear of flying will melt away.
What does this have to do with raising your vibrations you might think. Most people are aware that emotions of guilt and shame, fear and anger are low vibrations. If you look at the Scale of Consciousness that Dr. David Hawkins used in his book ‘Power vs. Force’ to calibrate energy and emotions, you will see that high vibrational emotions are love, joy, peace.
Did you know that just one person vibrating at the level of love can raise the vibration of over 750.000 people! Isn’t that amazing!? Now how are you going to raise your vibrations when you are in a state of guilt or shame or fear or anger? Your mind is very “helpful” to keep you in that state, because you tell it to. Not consciously of course, but you feel it is your reality. What if you imagine things are different? What if you start using the energy of gratitude? Every day just after you wake up or just before you go to bed, take a moment to think of 3, 4 or 5 things you are grateful for. It can be as simple as “I am so grateful and thankful that I am breathing” or “I am so grateful and thankful that I have great kids” or “I am so grateful and thankful for the warm sun on my face”. Starting to make this a daily practice you will send a powerful signal to your mind that maybe that reality of yours is not so bad at all and your mind will actively look for things to make your life better.
In the beginning it can be challenging, your mind will resist this new habit because it loves what is familiar, so you have to keep going and believe in yourself. It is the repetition that gets your mind on board. You are making the unfamiliar familiar and that is what the mind loves. When you raise your vibrations you will notice that you attract better things in your life. Your posture will change, you will start to “glow”, you attract new people, maybe a new job or a raise, clients, but also small things like a free coaching session or a bouquet of flowers that cannot be sold anymore because they are just a little too old or just a cup of coffee. Does this mean you will never have a bad day anymore? No, we are human and a bad day can always happen, as long as the great days outweigh the bad days we are ok. If you keep going you keep showing your mind that this is what you want, that you love to raise your vibrations and that this is the way to keep you alive on this planet as long as possible and your mind will follow.
Keep raising your vibrations, you can change thousands of lives doing so!
